Why Now 04:25
And I know it’s a little something Like everything about it When the sunshine hits your face Its warmth is intoxicating And you sense It’s trying to tell you Something that you already know But you’ve never bothered to dig for it So it might as well be exciting and new It’s a little part of everyone Encoded in your DNA And there’s little to do about it But why would you want to anyway We spend our time training hard To beat the monster that’s coming near And I guess it’s just my burden To carry the cross across the field
2.
Getting through to you I can’t believe it I can’t believe it If that’s the way you see it through I can’t go there I won’t go there And the sun bakes off the dew From the fields of green and brown It’s His specific plan It’s only natural It’s so important you have trust You can believe it You can believe it These are not my words at all I didn’t make them But I believe them And the love that we could feel I don’t know why you wouldn’t want And it’s His specific plan It’s only natural And now there’s a song to sing It’s so joyous And it’s honest If you let your heart just be It’ll follow It can’t help it In the warm light of Yahweh In the knowledge of his Son He’s known by many names There’s only One Open up your heart Nothing to lose Nothing to lose In Him it’s you gain life You can see that If you’re open

Walk with Me 04:31
The smell of fresh rain On this muddy windy path Brambles overgrow Thorny barbs reach out and snag Insects buzz and flitter about Birds chitter in the dry tall grass You and I walk along On Sunday morning The dog runs up ahead He’s sniffing everything Is that a rabbit in the bush Yeah he bolts and chases him We call his name he stops his game He looks around and gallops back You and I laugh aloud On Sunday morning And whoa we worried so so much About the world and where we live Now it seems so small Why'd we make it so big My sweater is warm Your scarf is very fetching Soup’s on in the kitchen Warm when we get home The sun peeks out from behind the clouds We talk of things and nothing at all Then we walk without a word On Sunday morning
4.
Pilots in a dream That is what we are There is proof of life We are days We are nights Only subtleties That is all there is There is something there It’s not easy But it’s real We are travelers We don’t care about Things of the world They’re just there And they’re gone And we know it well When there’s laid a trap Right in front of us It’s so obvious That it’s real For quite some time Quite something There’s a reign Of fire on earth Thief is dark But appears so bright Revealed in the end True nature’s light And He is love And He is light Ends the reign Of violence on Earth Don’t give up There’s little in acts To follow Him Opens your heart Frees your heart
5.
Somebody Somebody once had you Holding tight A lazy breeze Warm and haunting Up from the South Oh tell me About the time When we had the freedom To do what was right And what’s so wrong What’s so wrong with The love we had Don’t need much more An old idea but Still so true Oh tell me What we should do What we should sac ri fice To get it back As if you didn’t Know It’s so Obvious One true Path And do you have Do you have The will you need I know it’s hard You’re used to things that The way they are It’s not my words The door is shown And the path is hard Oh tell me Can't you feel Can't you feel The need To get rewards Extinguish desire To get rewards It’s common sense But very few want To see the truth Oh tell me What we should do What we should sacrifice To get it back As if you didn’t Know It’s so Obvious One true Path As if you didn’t Know It’s so Obvious One true Path As if you didn’t Know It’s so Obvious One true Path

about

The River Beach Recordings, Vol. 2 has one thing in common with its predecessor; it's a sonic snapshot of life near the river beach. Vol. 2 diverges from Vol. 1's retro aesthetic, conveying a spiritual journey with an acoustic pop vibe.

about

Bruce Robert Boise, Idaho

Sometimes I feel like my head is radio receiver for random melodies floating around the universe. I have the experience, desire and know-how to take those melodies and create a complete piece of music from it. As long as I can remember, that’s how it’s generally worked for me. I rarely set out to write a song. They just sort of pop into my head, and I give form to the idea. ... more
